Luli Fernandez was our guest that evening and she spoke in Guarani proudly representing a small population of Paraguayans in Perth. Guarani is the traditional language of Paraguay. Different styles of Guarani are spoken in some South American regions, like Corrientes in the north of Argentina. For many years Guarani was considered a dialect, however now it is recognised as an international language.
